Tags let you organise and filter your event insights afterwards by grouping participants according to categories you choose. This is Section 3 of event setup, reached after the Natter section.
What Are Tags?
Tags are labels used to organise and filter your insights after the event. You set up the categories during event creation, and participants select their own tags before the event begins (for example, choosing their location or department).
Because each participant is associated with the tags they select, you can later break your results down by those groups - comparing responses by location, function, seniority, and so on; rather than only viewing them as a single combined set. This makes your post-event analysis far more useful, especially for larger or more diverse audiences.
đĄ Tip: Think about how you'll want to slice your results before the event. The categories you set here determine the filters available to you afterwards.
Adding a Tag Category
To add a category, click the + Add Category button. You can choose from the pre-set categories or create your own.
Pre-Set Categories
Four categories are available out of the box:
Location
Function
Tenure
Seniority
These cover the most common ways organisations group participants, so in many cases you won't need to create anything custom.
Creating a Custom Category
If the pre-set categories don't cover what you need, select + Custom Category. You'll be asked to complete two fields:
Category Name (free text) - the label participants see when selecting their tags before the event. Choose something clear and self-explanatory, as participants will pick from it without further guidance.
Category Tags (free text) - the individual options participants can choose from within that category.
For example, a custom category named Team might contain the tags Sales, Marketing, Product, Operations.
