When you create an event, you can either build a custom event from scratch or start from one of Natter's pre-designed Templates. Templates streamline setup by giving you ready-made topics and survey questions for a specific purpose, which you can keep or adapt. This article explains how to use them and what each one is for.
Accessing Event Templates
On the Events page, click Create Event.
You'll see the option to use a Template or create a customised event.
Browse the template library: each template shows a short description of its purpose. Scroll through to find the one that best fits your event.
Using a Template
Select a template to start building your event from it.
Customise it: adjust the pre-filled settings (event name, description, schedule, hosts) and add or edit the Natter topics, Entry Survey, and Exit Survey as needed.
Review everything before saving to make sure it matches your requirements.
Every element of a template is editable, so you're never locked into the defaults; think of it as a head start rather than a fixed format.
Why Use a Template?
Efficiency - ready-made configurations cut down setup time.
Consistency - recurring events can follow a uniform structure.
Flexibility - every element can be adjusted to fit your specific event.
