How Do I Start the 1:1 Conversations?

Once your Natter is underway, you can send participants into their 1:1 conversations at any point from Broadcast.

Step 1: Select Start Nattering

At the bottom of your screen, select the Start Nattering button.

Step 2: Choose your conversation settings

A modal will appear allowing you to choose the topic, duration and transcription settings for this round.

  • Topic - Select the conversation topic participants will see and discuss.

  • Duration - Select how long the conversations should run. This defaults to the recommended 10 minutes, but you can choose any of the preset options.

  • Transcription - Select how transcription should be handled for this round:

    • Require Consent - participants choose to opt in or out before the conversation begins. If either participant declines, transcription is off for that 1:1.

    • Transcription On - all conversations are transcribed.

    • Transcription Off - no transcription.

Once you've confirmed your settings, participants are automatically matched into their 1:1 conversations.

What Happens Next?

While the 1:1 conversations run, you'll move to the Backstage view, where you can monitor conversations, view live metrics, and support participants. When the timer ends, everyone is automatically returned to Broadcast.
